The Breast Cancer Prevention Coalition was created to raise funds for breast cancer research. But fundraising is only the first step. The BCPC meets regularly to help raise awareness, and to get the word out that there are people who have survived this battle who are willing to share their experiences with others. We are blessed to have committed and hard working friends who enjoy sharing their time.
The Breast Cancer Prevention Coalition provides one-on-one support and education to those who have been diagnosed with breast cancer, or other types of cancers. For those who have recently been diagnosed, it is often very helpful to talk to and share with someone who is a survivor and has been down that road.
We Volunteer at the Georgia Regents Health Cancer Center
We chose to staff the new GRHealth Cancer Center with volunteers because it brings us close to those whose lives we want to touch the most. Whether providing a warm blanket or words of encouragement to a patient, our volunteers enjoy the reward of simply being there for people.
